Fae Presley grew up on a dairy farm in MI. She attended Butterworth Hospital School of Nursing in Grand Rapids, MI. There she met a man who would not only become her husband, but who would show her the beauty and truth of the Catholic faith, leading to her conversion in 1978.
Fae worked at University of Michigan Mott Children’s Hospital and at Grand Haven Community Hospital before leaving her nursing career to homeschool her children. She and Ed settled near Big Rapids, MI in 1988 and spent the next 15 years raising their five children. Ed passed away in 2003.
Fae and Ed taught natural family planning for 15 years with the Couple to Couple League and led apologetics, catechism, and Theology of the Body classes. Fae was co-founder of a national Catholic homeschooling magazine, has organized conferences and presented workshops on homeschooling, and is co-founder and past president of Bishop Baraga Home Educators in Marquette. She has published articles on homeschooling, family life, and death and dying.
Fae married Tim Presley, also a Catholic convert, in 2006. Fae works part-time at Sacred Heart Religious Goods bookstore and she and Tim are station managers of Northern Apostle Radio, 103.9 FM, Marquette’s local Catholic radio station.
